Mr. Duffy joined United Real Estate in February 2006 to bring a new level of innovation to United.
He serves as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his role as CEO, Mr. Duffy is principally responsible for the establishment and execution of a long-term strategy for United designed to deliver competitive advantage to agents as they operate in their local markets and serve their clients.
Prior to joining United Real Estate, Mr. Duffy spent nearly 20 years focused on serving clients
in a number of senior executive positions. Most recently Mr. Duffy served as the President and
Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft’s “2005 Global Partner of the Year” and largest North American Microsoft Business Solutions partner with over 20 offices serving 12,000 clients across the
United States and the U.K.
Prior to his tenure in the technology services market space, Mr. Duffy served as the Chief
Development and Financial Officer of an on-line business-to-business exchange serving the
auction and brokerage market for industrial equipment and was a founding member of the
Chicago practice of The Center for Strategic Transactions, a division of Ernst & Young L.L.P.,
providing strategic and corporate finance advisory services to Fortune 100 companies as well
as high growth technology, product and services organizations across multiple industries.
Over his past 20 years in the real estate industry, Peter has expanded numerous start-up
organizations into multi-million dollar companies. He has also held senior leadership positions
in a Fortune 500 company, directing strategies at both the national and local levels.
Prior to joining United Real Estate, Peter was most recently with Cendant Corporation and Realogy,
Inc., where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development. In
this role, Peter had full authority over the development of real estate brands such as Coldwell
Banker, Century 21 and ERA across much of the United States. During his tenure with Cendant
and Realogy, Peter led the division with the highest growth in new sales for six years in a row.
Before he joined Cendant, Peter was part of the Senior Leadership of Homestore.com.
This start-up company built Realtor.com, a top-ranked real estate website. As the Vice President
of National Sales for the Broker division, Peter led a national sales team through two mergers
and grew his division’s annual revenue to more than $50 million in less than three years.
Ted Laatz has 18+ years of real estate industry experience, including positions as Regional Vice President at United Country Real Estate, President of RE/MAX Great American and President of the Aurora Tri-County Association of Realtors. In 2001, Mr. Laatz started RE/MAX Great American and built the company into a Top 500 firm in the industry as ranked by both Real Trends and RIS Media.
In addition to his senior management positions, Mr Laatz was previously a National Association of Realtors Resort & Second Home Committee Member and has spoken at numerous national and international real estate events. Over the years, Mr. Laatz has been honored with a web / technology award, a "Broker / Owner of the Year" award and as a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Laatz earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bradley University and an M.B.A. from DePaul University.
With a career dedicated to overcoming the
barriers real estate brokers and agents face, there is very little about
the real estate marketing space that Mr. Oldham isn’t extremely curious
and passionate about. He operates at the intersection of technology,
marketing and real estate – creating value in United’s markets while
helping our partners grow their businesses.
Prior to his role as Chief Marketing Officer of United Real Estate, Mr. Oldham co-founded United and United Country’s wholly-owned marketing firm, Enhanced Marketing Solutions® and built it into the largest real estate marketing services organization in the U.S. by number of annual engagements.
Prior to becoming a founding member of United Real Estate, Mr. Oldham co-founded a regional real estate marketing services firm that catered to real estate developers, offering strategic solutions that accelerated buyer demand for their projects. Prior to this entrepreneurial ventures Mr. Oldham delivered marketing services for Kansas City’s largest residential real estate broker and for AMC Entertainment where he was instrumental in launching Virgin Mobile in the United States.
Mr. Oldham earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration followed by his MBA from Baker University. In 2012, he was recognized by KC Business Magazine with the Rising Star award, celebrating business leaders under the age of 40.
Most recently, Dickey was Sr. Vice President Professional Services for ePartners. ePartners,
the Microsoft 2005 Partner of the Year, specialized in delivering, integrating and customizing
solutions tailored specifically for each client’s business needs. The group has a concentration
in Microsoft .Net programming, Portal development services, systems integration, and a focus
on ePartners’ core ERP and CRM product offerings.
Prior to joining ePartners, Dickey was Director of Worldwide Professional Services at Pervasive Software where he led the services group in both North America and Europe. The group focused
on solving complex database problems and had a specific practice in replication and disaster recovery solutions.
Dickey has spent a number of years in the enterprise software space where he developed
mission critical software for a wide range of businesses working with clients such as Saks Fifth
Avenue, Office Depot, & Burlington Northern.
Dickey received his BBA in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, continuing education from Kellogg School of Management, and is a graduate of the Stagen Leadership Institute.
Ashley Appino joined United Real Estate in 2008, and brings over 10 years of comprehensive affiliate services and event management experience to our team. Prior to joining United Real Estate, Ashley was the Managing Director of Member Programs for the National Auctioneers Association. While at the NAA, she developed and implemented member services, benefit programs, as well as recruitment and retention campaigns. Additionally, she was involved in
the overall growth of the organization and strategic planning specifically relating to member development.
Prior to joining the auctioneers, Ashley offered corporate marketing and sales services to the largest golf course management association in the industry. Ashley is skilled in all aspects of meeting and events planning, event strategy and execution.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and received her M.B.A. from Baker University in 2006. Ashley is also a graduate of Reppert Auction School.
Jason Cole brings over 12 years of financial experience to United Real Estate. After joining
United Real Estate over a year ago, as Controller, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to United Real Estate, Jason spent 7 years with Walmart Stores Inc, in various financial
roles, last serving as Senior Accounting Manager for the Corporate Traffic Department
managing the payables and receivables for the company.
After Walmart, he spent several years with Kansas City Southern Railroad, last serving
as Accounting Manager helping prepare the monthly, quarterly, and yearly SEC reporting
for the company, as well as managing the inventory for the railroad. Jason’s last position
was Controller doing international financial reporting for ThyssenKrupp Access, a
global German company.
